Spring 2026 Genealogy Workshop Series

In this four-week series participants will:
• Learn how to build a family tree
• Discover how and where to find free records
• Investigate the value of an Ancestry.com membership
• Realize the many ways old newspapers can enhance your
understanding of the life and times of your ancestors
• Explore a bit about how AI can be helpful to your research and writing
• Use guided instruction time to work on your tree
Classes will take place at the Morton Township Library (a fully accessible location)
110 S. James St., Mecosta, MI
Wednesday mornings from 10AM – Noon
Session One: Wednesday, April 8, 2026
Session Two: Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Session Three: Wednesday, April 22, 2026
Session Four: Wednesday, April 29, 2026
Workshop fee $20 for all four sessions.
To insure a positive experience, limit of 15 participants
Some laptops available and detailed handouts provided.
